Mr. Gibson’s copyright litigation practice has reached a level of national prominence having litigated issues in the forefront of the copyright area. While intellectual property litigators are in a small minority of litigators generally, it would seem that those attorneys who focus on copyright litigation and have a wealth of experience area are even rarer. Mr. Gibson’s practice in this area has that depth of experience and focus. Oftentimes, copyright litigation involves technology issues as well as causes of action involving trade secrets and commercial properties. Mr. Gibson’s experience in all of these areas demonstrates a level of capability that exceeds many firms. Mr. Gibson has been a trailblazer in developing the case law particularly within the Ninth Circuit, let alone jurisdictional issues associated with same.
